OUR APPROACH:
Rooted in Christian values, we warmly welcome and work with people of all backgrounds.
With over 38 years of experience in outdoor education, youth development, and organizational training, we are passionate about helping young people discover their potential, build character, and find direction in life.
We have a practical and hands-on approach and let meaningful activities and experiences talk! Activities are carefully facilitated and reviewed to maximize learning, encourage personal growth, and reinforce positive values through experiential learning.
We create experiences that are educational and fun, challenging and rewarding—building confidence, self-awareness, resilience, and stronger relationships with others.
Drawing on both local and international research, our programs are flexible and can be tailored to meet specific objectives. Teachers and group leaders are encouraged to contribute to program design, helping shape activities and outcomes that best suit their needs.
Our programs are suitable for a wide range of age groups, including schools, colleges, and tertiary institutions.
Above all, participant safety remains our highest priority in every activity and program.
VENUE OPTIONS:
- Your own school or at another venue, open space, camp site, etc. of your choice. We have a well – equipped mobile service and are fully mobile.
- One of our suggested camping venues (e.g. UCSA, Winklespruit camp, E’mseni Camp (Winterton area)
- Cumberland Nature Reserve for one-day programs (16 km east from Pietermaritzburg).
PROGRAMS THAT WE OFFER:
- Leadership identification
- Leadership development (for all grades but especially for Grade 11’s, new Prefects/ SRC’s, sport captains)
- A high impact orientation/ know – each- other /team building program for new grade eight students at High Schools (ideally at the beginning of a year)
- Team Building, training and short presentations for school/ college staff and teachers
- Team Building for sport teams
- General Outdoor Education programs for different grades: (personal, social, leadership, life – and team skills development)
- Short educational presentations and practical workshops at your school (suitable for each grade and can be aligned with your school roster)
- Fund raising and relationship building program at your school (it can include all students, staff and parents)
- Programs for clubs/societies/associations (e.g. Presidents’ Award, Land Service, Boy Scouts, Environmental club, Christian Society, etc.)
- Affordable overnight camps at your own school/ own venue or a suggested camp sites
- Environmental Education
- Field studies for Biology, Geography and Tourism students (the leader of Outdoor Educators is an ex – Geography teacher with a passion for Geography).
